Leyuan Ma

Leyuan is a doctoral candidate in the chair of Civil and Building Systems at the Institute for Civil Engineering at the Technical University Berlin.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from China University of Mining and Technology in 2016 and her Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Wuhan University in 2019. 

She has joined this team since October 2019, and she is currently funded by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC).  In her PhD project, she is working on the knowledge formalization of residential building inspections to support the design of wall-climbing inspection robots. She is also working on developing small indoor wall-climbing robot prototypes to validate the potential of applying the formalized knowledge on improving the robot performance.
