Nour Nidal Samaro

Nour is a doctoral candidate in the chair of Civil and Building Systems at the Institute of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin.
She received a bachelor’s degree in Building Engineering in 2013 and a master’s degree in Engineering Management in 2016 from An-Najah National University, Palestine. In 2018, she worked as a research and teaching assistant at the Building Engineering Department. She has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP) since 2020. During her previous years of experience, she worked as a civil and safety engineer in constructional projects and expanded her knowledge of risk assessment studies and participated in international conferences.
Her research interests are in risk management, climate change, resilience and sustainable development. Currently, in her PhD research, she is studying the effect of climate change on buildings to optimize planning and risk management as well as enhance buildings’ resilience under various exposure scenarios based on case studies in Germany and her home country, Palestine.
