The PhD School on Advanced BIM Applications and Digital Twin Technology was held at Haifa, Israel, between March 6 - 10, 2022.
It was the fourth training event from the Cloud BIM European Training Network (CBIM), organized by Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Participants learned advanced concepts of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Digital Twin Construction (DTC) through formal lectures in the training school. They also learned about different technological advancements related to applying artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), digital fabrication, and parametric modelling within the context of Cloud BIM through lectures, hands-on workshops, and visits to Construction tech start-ups.Several professors delivered lectures at the event, including Timo Hartmann, professor for Systems Engineering at the TU Berlin. Additionally, many experts from the industry were also invited to give lectures. The attendants included CBIM early-stage researchers, including TU Berlin PhD students Odubiyi Tawakalitu Bisola and Eyosias Guyo as well as Conor Shaw, who is currently visiting at TU Berlin.
