Development of a cooperation and information exchange model in the context of integral planning to support an operating appropriated building documentation
Integral building design is an essential but complex part of modern Real Estate Management. In this planning method, a lifecycle overarching vision is supported. Therefore a huge number of stakeholders in various constellations are involved and each one contributes a different scope of performance. With regard to this, it is a challenging task to handle the cooperation and information exchange processes. A huge amount of data, documents and information from multiple sources have to be identified, proved, saved, processed and made accessible. Against this background a model for better managing this complexity is developed in the dissertation. The model focuses on document-based collaboration and visualizes the cooperation relations and information exchanges between the involved project partners from project initiation to real estate operation. An approach for better handling the wide range of topics and the high interdisciplinary variety of participants in integral planning will be generated. The model is derived from different case studies of known companies within the construction and real estate industry. Moreover it integrates results of comparing the business studies with already existing guidelines for documentation in real estate lifecycle.
