Cheng Zeng

Cheng is a doctoral candidate in the chair of Civil and Building Systems at the Institute for Civil Engineering at the Technical University Berlin.
 
He received his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Sichuan University, China, in June 2017 and his master's degree in bridge engineering from Tongji University, China, in June 2020. From August 2020 to July 2021, he works as a new technology research engineer at China Mobile, focusing on exploring the potential applications of 5G and high-precision positioning technology in the field of bridge health monitoring.
 
Cheng has joined this team in August 2021, and he is currently funded by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). In his Ph.D. project, he is working on combining UAV and computer vision to facilitate the automation process of construction progress monitoring.
